The Treasure Coast

The Treasure Coast includes the counties of Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin and Palm Beach spanning some 100 miles of the eastern coast of South Central Florida. The coastal waters of the Atlantic Ocean along with the Indian River Lagoon which contains the Intercoastal Waterway and the St. Lucie river create hundreds of square miles of diverse habitat for fish, birds, grasses and mangroves and for the aquatic mammals such as the manatee and porpoise.
The Gulf Stream flows just offshore out some 40 miles to the north and nearly to the beaches in the south. This provides for an abundance of saltwater fish year round and waves of migrating baitfish for their enjoyment.
The Indian River Lagoon and the St. Lucie and other smaller brackish-water rivers act as a nursery for many of the palegics which roam offshore.
Our efforts are concentrated around Stuart; in the Indian River Lagoon, the North and South Forks of the St. Lucie River and the inlet to the Atlantic Ocean and beaches of Hutchenson and Jupiter Islands.
